Statement of Commitment
Brand Momentum is committed to fostering an accessible and inclusive environment for employees, clients, and visitors. We strive to meet the accessibility needs of individuals with disabilities in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
This plan outlines the steps we will take to identify, prevent, and remove barriers to accessibility in compliance with these laws and best practices across Canada.
Multi-Year Accessibility Plan
This plan outlines our phased approach to accessibility over the next five years.
Year 1 (2025) – Foundational Work & Compliance
- Develop and publish a company-wide accessibility policy.
- Continue to provide AODA training for all employees.
- Continue to audit the Brand Momentum Inc. Website to ensure compliance with the WCAG 2.1 Level AA on an annual or as needed basis (whichever occurs first)
- Implement an accessible feedback process for the public, clients, and employees.
- As part of the annual review or update of the Fire Emergency Procedure Plan, ensure the Persons Requiring Assistance Form is updated for individuals who need assistance.
- Engage with the property management company to discuss building accessibility barriers and potential solutions.
- Barrier: Office space located on the second floor with stair access only; no lift available.
- Present Solution: Remote work accommodations are in place for employees who use mobility aids and cannot access the office.
- Continued Action: Maintain ongoing communication with building management and the commercial landlord, setting clear deadlines to improve office accessibility.
- Continue to identify short-term accommodation(s) (e.g., virtual meeting options, alternative office spaces for client meetings).
Years 2 & 3 (2026-2027) – Advancing Workplace Accessibility & Inclusive Communication
- Ensure that all publicly available documents are available in accessible formats upon request.
- Conduct an annual recruitment audit to strengthen hiring policies, ensuring inclusivity and compliance with industry standards and local accessibility laws.
- Implement recommendations from the accessibility audit to remove workplace barriers.
- Enhance accessibility in all company training materials and resources.
- Develop partnerships with organizations that support employment for people with disabilities.
Year 4 (2028) – Strengthening Accessibility & Inclusive Leadership
- Enhance leadership training on accessibility and inclusive workplace practices.
- Ensure company policies and programs support an accessible and inclusive work environment.
Year 5 (2029) – Audit & Future Planning
- Conduct a comprehensive audit of the accessibility plan to evaluate effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop a long-term strategy to ensure ongoing accessibility advancements and integration into company policies.
Training
All employees will receive mandatory training on accessibility requirements and best practices. This training will include:
- How to interact and communicate with individuals with disabilities.
- How to recognize and address accessibility barriers.
- On an as Needed Basis: How to use assistive devices and accessibility features in the workplace.
Feedback Process
Brand Momentum will establish an accessible feedback process to allow clients, employees, and visitors to provide input on our accessibility policies and practices. Feedback can be submitted:
